scene by scene description-

We finished up on our plan for each scene that will be in our storyboards that contribute to the making of our short film.

Story board:

Amy is the main girl

Emma is the ghost girl

[Each story board should include location, camera shot- (medium shot, long shot, close up, extreme close up), position and angles - (low angle and high angle shots, eye length shot), action -(what is happening in the scene), lighting and timing-( how long the frame will take].

2^nd scene: Thahmina Khan

·         Establishing shot of the house (1st location)- panning up to down

·         Long shot of the girl carrying her luggage and looking at what is in front of her which is her new house

·         The next shot is of her new guardian (foster mum) by the door welcoming her in, close up and smiling.

1^st scene: In a room on the table: Thahmina Khan

·         Close shot of a hand signing a piece of paper that says fostering form

·         Then we bring up the title of the film name and introduce director’s name and character name.

2^nd scene: Arrived at the new house: Thahmina Khan

·         She rings the doorbell, her adopted mum appears and hugs her. ( xc- of doorbell)

·         Her mum takes her bags and puts on the medallion on the girl as a welcoming gesture. (cross fade)

·         She’s in a study room and finds it all clutters with paper, she then opens a chest draw in front of her, she finds a piece of paper with an image of a girl hugging the mum with her wearing the same medallion too.

·         Fade to her in bed

3^rd scene: Hollow ponds dream: Thahmina Khan

·         Fade to her dream

·         She finds a girl with her back towards her sitting on the log. As she approaches her she vanishes.

4^th scene: House: bedroom: Thahmina Khan

·         Main girl wakes up in shock and feels her medallion

·         Her mother then reassures her that it is nothing as she is awoken by shock.

5^th scene: Outside near her school: Arilda

·         As she is walking towards her first day at school, she looks into a car window (reflection)and fixes herself where she touches her medallion, a face appears soon after which is the ghost, then disappears after a second.

6^th scene: bedroom: Arilda

·         She hears noises from her cupboard and the cupboard door moving

·         She then walks towards the cupboard and opens it but doesn’t look inside because she faces the other way as her mum is calling her, the audience then see the ghost face appear but as soon as she looks the cupboard way, the face disappears so she thinks it is nothing to worry about.

·         She then has a nap( cross fade to the dream)

7^th scene: hollow pond: Arilda

·         Finds herself next to the log, where she is very puzzled and confused and she is looking all around. (shot reverse shot)All of a sudden the ghost taps her on her shoulder.

·         She gets really scared, starts running from the ghost, (Point of view camera shot of the girl, which also includes panting and heavy breathing)

·         Turning around looking at the ghost to see if she’s behind her

·         Cross fade away from the dream

8^th scene: Bedroom: Arilda

·         She wakes up from the dream to find her step mum, standing in the doorway, smiling. ( Arial shot from above)(Shot reverse shot between her and her mum).

·         The girl says to her mum, “I didn’t hear you come in”, mum replies “I wanted to make sure u fell asleep safe and sound”.

·         Her mum then leaves her room, she then touches her medallion and looks scared, cuts to the dream she remembers that the ghost girl is wearing her medallion, then goes back to sleep.

9^th scene: street: Rezwana

·         She walks towards the bus stop which she sees an open bag so sits down on the bus stop and chucks the medallion in the bag and leaves. ( Long shot)

10^th scene: Bedroom: Rezwana

·         She grabs a jumper from the cupboard and put it on her whilst looking at the mirror. She then sees the medallion on the floor and when she looks at the mirror she sees the ghost girl appear. (Long shot) but close up on the medallion and panelling involved from the top of the mirror to the bottom of the floor).

·         She turns around and speaks to the ghost girl ‘who are you’ the ghost girl explains to wear the medallion and tonight’s dream, you will get all your answers. Shot reverse shot and mid shot

11^th scene: hollow pond: Rezwana

·         She falls asleep and finds herself in the dream in the forest sitting on the log. The ghost girl is sat next to her.

·         Fade into sleep

Dialogue:

·         Main girl: Hang on, you’re the girl that is following me around.

·         Ghost girl: There’s not much time left, you’re in serious danger!

·         Main girl: What kind of danger?

·         G G: The danger I was put in before I died.

·         M G: what do you mean?

·         G G: I was adopted like you.

(Medallion is worn by the ghost girl, this is reflected to the camera, and then the camera goes into a close up shot to the medallion; which then leads the main character to ask her about it because the medallion the main character found the same medallion to the one around the ghost girl’s neck.)

·         M G: who gave that medallion to you?

·         G G: (shows the image of her step mum which is the M G’s current step mum)

12^th scene: bedroom: Rezwana

·         She wakes up from her sleep and finds her mum sitting beside her in her bed and smiling at her. Mid shot
